What can our world be in 2050?
It can be what we design it to be. Design, coupled with our collective Vision, possesses the power to transform and shape our economy, our culture our society, our lives. The indelible difference effected by design resonates at many levels, from individuals to organizations to cities.
In 2009, the Congress of the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design in Singapore will be the place where the future is collectively charted, by both keynote speakers and delegates. This is not “just another congress”. Expect to be engaged before, during and after.

The 3-day Congress will have a strong action agenda and culminate in a Design Action Plan, where the collective vision and wisdom will be translated to be taken into the real world - of education, practice, research, enterprise.
It is time for some serious re-design of the world. Let's not leave it to chance.
